Thanks for stopping by. If you want to know more about who we are, or more appropriately, who I am, you're in the right place, so just continue reading.
At this time the team consists of the founder and administrator, Donna Harris. I will update this information as other potential members of the team join me as contributors and editors.
Then who am I?
I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California, and have lived in CA all my life, except for a year at Oregon State University, and a year and a half in Wuerzburg, Germany. I attended California State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree and my General Secondary teaching credential, with a major in English composition and literature, and a minor in Theater Arts. I later earned my General Elementary teaching credential from the same university by attending summers, afternoons after teaching all day and weekends.
I have two children and six grandchildren, and have had many different pets through the years, i.e. dogs, cats, a Spider monkey, a chinchilla, guinea pigs, horses, and even some farm animals, as I've lived on ranches for many of the years of my adult life.
I have many interests, activities and hobbies, but most of all I love to learn and consider learning to be a lifelong endeavor. So, I love to read, and am continually reading inspirational and self-growth books, historical events and novels, classic novels and stories, genealogy, alternative health therapies, adventure novels, and any other books that capture my interest. Some of my other hobbies and activities, past and present, include pottery-making, travel to Europe and Central America, archaeology, horseback riding, ice skating, water and snow skiing, swimming, cooking, and flying my own plane as a student pilot.
My career has been in the field of education, and I have taught in both secondary and elementary schools, as well as private boarding schools, where I was co-director, teacher, director of the foods program, cook, teacher of cooking, and houseparent.
After 'retirement,' I found that I still needed to supplement my income. I had been reasonably proficient on a computer, had taught English as a second language online, and found I was still making peanuts, but finally realized that there were better ways to provide an income. I was no longer content to 'get by,' to just survive, as I saw my lifelong earnings being slowly eaten away by inflation and all the other problems associated with a JOB (Just Over Broke). I decided to explore my options. I had read Napoleon Hill's book, THINK AND GROW RICH, many years ago, but didn't know how to implement the teachings. There's a saying, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."
That teacher, for me, began with the movie, "The Secret," about the Universal Law of Attraction, and continued with other teachers, including Wallace Wattles, who wrote three books, published about 1910, one of which I have read, and studied, THE SCIENCE OF GETTING RICH, which is an amazing book, and well worth the time it takes to read and study it. Others who have continued to teach me include Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, co-authors of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and Abraham-Hicks teachings on the Law of Attraction, then the Law of Creative Design, and the Law of Allowing.
So here I am, taking on a new challenge, learning about websites and how to develop, internet marketing, reviewing programs in internet marketing to help others avoid the scams, and writing and publishing various programs, meeting new people, and having fun in the process!
I believe that JOY IS THE JOURNEY!
